Private Security Law No: 5188 came into effect on 10 June 2004 (Official Gazette No: 25504). The regulation related to the application of this law came into effect on 7 October 2004 (Official Gazette No: 25606). This law identifies all legal framework related to private security services.

Providing services of security in all areas, such as, buildings/facilities, persons, valuables, money like in developed and European countries
Making Private Security a professional career, creating employment, and providing career opportunities
Providing opportunities for conducting Private Security services by means of developed and qualified electronic tools, such as, alarm systems, tele-monitoring CCTV
Giving permission to the foreign persons to establish private security companies within the framework of the principle of reciprocity
Providing the system of financial responsibility in private security and compensate harms caused on third persons by the private security officials
